Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of this website and your participation in programmes offered by Lotus Advisory. By enquiring about, registering for, or attending any programme, you indicate that you have read and accept these terms. If you have questions, write to [email protected].

Definitions

In these terms, the following words have the following meanings:

  • "Lotus Advisory", "we", "us", "our" — the financial education practice operating at 134 Phra Athit Road, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand.
  • "Participant", "you", "your" — any individual who enquires about, registers for, or attends a programme.
  • "Programme" — any reading circle, workshop, or multi-session educational programme offered by Lotus Advisory, including the Personal Finance Reading Circle, the Household Balance Sheet Workshop, and The Question of Annuities & Lifetime Income.
  • "Materials" — any printed, written, or digital content provided by Lotus Advisory as part of a programme, including bound reading volumes, worksheets, and reference documents.
  • "Website" — the website operated at lotusadvx.info.
  • "Agreement" — these terms and conditions, together with any registration confirmation we issue to you.

Acceptance of terms

By using this website or registering for any programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and that you accept these terms in full. If you are registering on behalf of another person, you also accept these terms on their behalf and confirm that you have authority to do so.

These terms are governed by Thai law and take effect from the date of your registration confirmation.

Description of services

Lotus Advisory offers financial education programmes designed for adults aged 40 and above. Our programmes are facilitated educational experiences — not financial advice, investment advice, or any regulated advisory service. We do not hold any licence to provide regulated financial advice under Thai law, and nothing in our programmes constitutes a recommendation to purchase, hold, or sell any financial product.

Our programmes are offered primarily in Bangkok. Where sessions are held online, we will state this clearly at the time of registration.

Registration and attendance

A place in a programme is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from Lotus Advisory. Enquiring through this website does not itself constitute registration. We may decline any enquiry at our discretion without providing a reason.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact information. If details change after registration, inform us promptly at [email protected].

Programme group sizes are limited as described for each programme. Attendance is personal to the registered participant and may not be transferred to another individual without our prior written agreement.

Participant responsibilities

Participants are expected to engage with sessions in good faith, to respect the contributions of other participants, and to treat all personal or financial information shared by other participants as confidential. Sharing another participant's disclosures outside the session is not permitted.

The following are not permitted in connection with our programmes or website:

  • Misrepresenting your identity or circumstances
  • Recording any session without prior written consent from Lotus Advisory and all participants
  • Using any materials provided for commercial purposes or distributing them to third parties
  • Behaviour that disrupts the experience of other participants or that a facilitator considers inappropriate for the group setting

Intellectual property

All materials provided as part of a programme — including reading volumes, worksheets, reference documents, and any written or printed content — remain the intellectual property of Lotus Advisory. We grant participants a personal, non-exclusive licence to use these materials for their own private educational purposes only.

You may not reproduce, publish, resell, or distribute any programme materials in whole or in part without our written permission. The content of this website, including text, design, and structure, is also the property of Lotus Advisory and may not be reproduced without permission.

Fees and payment

Programme fees are stated in Thai Baht (THB) inclusive of materials. The current fees are:

  • Personal Finance Reading Circle for Adults 40+: 5,500 THB
  • Household Balance Sheet Workshop: 8,400 THB
  • The Question of Annuities & Lifetime Income: 10,800 THB

Fees are due in full before the first session unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We will provide payment instructions at the point of registration confirmation.

Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel your registration more than seven days before the first session, we will refund the full fee. If you cancel within seven days of the first session, we will refund 50% of the fee. If you do not attend without prior notice, no refund is due.

If Lotus Advisory cancels a programme, we will offer either a full refund or a place in the next available cycle, at your choice. We are not liable for any other costs you may have incurred in connection with the cancelled programme.

Programme-specific terms

Each programme has a stated number of sessions. We make reasonable efforts to maintain the schedule, but we may postpone or reschedule individual sessions with reasonable notice. Where a participant misses a session, no catch-up provision is offered, though a facilitator may briefly address key points from a missed session at a subsequent meeting where practical.

Materials described as included in each programme will be provided at or before the first session. If supply issues arise, we will provide an equivalent substitute of similar quality.

Disclaimers

Our programmes are educational in nature. Nothing presented in any session, in any programme materials, or on this website constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Lotus Advisory expressly does not advocate for, recommend, or endorse any financial product.

We make no representation that any outcome will follow from attending a programme. Financial decisions remain entirely the responsibility of the participant. We encourage all participants to consult appropriately qualified professionals before making any financial decision.

Our website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will always be accessible or free from error.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Lotus Advisory shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of this website or participation in any programme, including but not limited to financial loss resulting from decisions made following attendance.

Our total liability to you in connection with any programme shall not exceed the fee paid by you for that programme.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lotus Advisory and its facilitators against any claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of programme materials, or your conduct during programme sessions.

Termination

We may remove a participant from a programme, with no refund, if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or in breach of these terms. We will inform the participant in writing of the reason.

You may withdraw from a programme at any time subject to the cancellation terms in Section 07. Your obligations regarding confidentiality and intellectual property survive the end of any programme.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok.

Before commencing any formal legal process, we ask that you contact us at [email protected] to discuss the matter informally. We will acknowledge your contact within five working days and attempt to reach a resolution within thirty days.

General provisions

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lotus Advisory in relation to your participation in a programme and supersede any prior representations or discussions. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in full effect. A failure by either party to enforce any term shall not be treated as a waiver of the right to do so in future. You may not assign your rights under these terms to another party.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always available on this page. If we make material changes, we will notify registered participants by email. Continued participation in programmes after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
